Staff

Before we can serve our campers, we need a staff.  Before we can count someone as staff, we need some paperwork.  Please make sure you properly determine what paperwork you must submit so we can move from planning our staff to planning our season.

Essential Documents:

If we do not receive your paperwork, you position at camp may be in jeopardy

Once you have filled out the required forms for either the Salary or C.I.T. packets, you need to fill out these two forms.

Other Forms

Annual Health and Medical Record (required from all OSR and Kirby staff members)

Employee’s Statement of Nonresidence – (required of all OSR and Kirby paid staff members that live in Indiana, Maryland, Ohio, New Jersey, Virginia or West Virginia) Camp employees who live in these states must complete and submit this document to have the appropriate state taxes withheld from their paychecks.

New Hire Forms- If you are a new employee, you must fill out an I-9 as well as a new hire form (last page of Staff Packet).

Youth Protection Training – Youth protection training must be completed by all staff and proof of completion must be provided.  Go to the BSA Online Learning Center, enter your user name and password (or make a new account if you’re new) and complete the training.  If you’ve already completed the online training, click on the General tab and click View Certificate to generate a printable copy.  Print out and send in the Confirmation Page with the rest of your staff documents. Note: If you are not a registered member of another BSA unit, select “Bucks County” as your council, “Crew” as the unit, and “75” as the number. Once finished, please print out the confirmation page.

Hazardous Weather Training and Youth Protection Training

Both Hazardous Weather Training and Youth Protection Training must be completed by all staff members Please visit the BSA’s training page to complete these trainings. On  completion, print out the generated certificate and provide to camp.

How to Complete the Local Services Tax Exemption Form

There are two ways to complete this form and two sets of directions, please only complete the form using one guide or the other.

Instructions if you plan on making less than $12,000 from all jobs and sources in 2011
  1. Fill in “Tax Year” blank with “2011″
  2. Complete name, address, city/state, social security #, phone # and zip code blanks.
  3. Check #2 in “Reason for Exemption” section
  4. Fill in the first and second blank slot in #2 with “Plumstead Township” and “$12,000″ respectively
  5. Sign and date back of form
  6. Attach previous year’s final pay stub or complete W-2 from previous year
  7. Return to camp office
Instructions if you have multiple employers
  1. Fill in “Tax Year” blank with “2011″
  2. Complete name, address, city/state, social security #, phone # and zip code blanks.
  3. Check #1 in “Reason for Eemption” section
  4. List all other employers on the reverse of the form
  5. Attach a copy of a pay statement that includes the length of the period and amount of local service taxes with held (most will include this)
  6. Sign and date back of form
  7. Attach previous year’s final pay stub or complete W-2 from previous year
  8. Return to camp office
