Monday thru Friday

Session 1:       9 am until 10:20 am

*Session 1 is recommended for scouts not in Dan Beard because of reduced class size

Session 2:       10:30 am until Noon

*You only need to attend one of the two sessions each day

Where: Meet at The Pool

Ages and Stages Recommendation: 1^st year scouts or longer with good swimming ability

 

 Prerequisites: Must pass the BSA Swimmer’s Test

What to Bring:

• Swimsuit, Towel, Sunscreen (applied 30-45 minutes before going going to the pool)
• A long sleeve button down shirt, and a pair of long pants for Requirement 4

NOTE: Denim clothing and Military Fatigues make completing clothes inflation VERY DIFFICULT for scouts.

 

Important Notes:   

• Scouts in SESSION 2, who are NOT IN DAN BEARD, will need to attend one afternoon Clothes Inflation Session, any day, Monday thru Thursday from 2pm thru 3pm.
• ALL Dan Beard scouts taking Swimming MB will do Clothes Inflation as part of the Dan Beard Program.
• Scouts will use the Snorkeling portion to complete Requirement 8.
• All Dan Beard scouts who have completed the BSA Swimmer’s Test will take Swimming Merit Badge.
• Dan Beard scouts that have not completed the BSA Swimmer’s Test will take Instructional Swim. They will have the opportunity to join the Swimming MB class upon successful completion of the Swimmer’s test.
